Design Associate

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Design Associate in London. This is a brilliant opportunity to take complete ownership of projects in our geographically diverse business model. We’re after a results driven, tenacious, go getter to take on managing a mixture of bespoke architectural projects whilst also delivering new business. We are a progressive practice, so you’ll need to understand our culture and strategy, identify opportunities and be responsible for developing staff. It’s an entrepreneurial job, with loads of responsibility and the freedom to deliver results.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a World Architecture Top 100 practice renowned for our excellence in architecture and heritage consultancy.

Qualifications, Accreditations, Memberships

  • Essential: ARB, RIBA / RICS

Skills, Knowledge, Experience (Expectations)

  • Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience leading and contributing to the design of major projects
  • Equally at home leading the creative process or contributing to wider team
  • Able to receive feedback positively even if different to own views or ideas
  • Able to design intuitively and at pace
  • Ability to draw beautifully
  • Equally fluent in contemporary and traditional design styles
  • Effectively communicate at all levels (internal & external) and can lead major presentations
  • Excellent presentation skills (visual, written & spoken)
  • Experience developing others and can demonstrate an ability to build a team
  • Thorough understanding of architectural history
  • Passionate about historic buildings
  • Strategic and conceptual thinker
  • Delegation skills
  • Ability to organise and plan – analytical skills
  • Ability to successfully interpret briefs
