Hettie firmly believes in the benefits of understanding the history of a site in order to inform a sustainable future. One of her key skills is extracting as much information as possible from the available documentary resources and combining these findings with on-site investigations into the built fabric.
Hettie is experienced in the preparation of a wide range of heritage reports, including Heritage Impact Assessments, Statements of Significance and Conservation Management Plans. While at Purcell, she has also undertaken a variety of Historic Building Records and is accredited at Practitioner level with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. Hettie finds the wide variety of sites on which her work is focussed to be particularly enjoyable, having assessed buildings ranging from residential town houses to aircraft hangars and government buildings.
