Purcell is successful because of its People – they are what makes Purcell renowned, respected and unique. We understand that our clients have a choice of organisations to work with however it is the talent and dedication of exceptional individuals, working together for a common purpose, that sets us apart from other architecture practices and is one of the reasons why clients come back to us. If we are to retain our reputation in delivering quality architecture, master planning and heritage then we need a creative, highly skilled and motivated team.
Our People and Organisation Development Plan is simple – to provide a great place to work, where everyone feels valued with clear routes to reach individual potential. A place where all of us are proud to work together as one team to achieve great things. Therefore, our mission is to become an employer of choice where we attract, retain, develop and engage talented people to work on the best projects.
We want to develop our talent and challenge the conventional way of doings things, providing unique opportunities – such as the Purcell Conservation School and Design Forums – to learn, adopt and share our blend of design, heritage, conservation and masterplanning skills. We encourage a minimum of 35 hours continuous professional development (CPD) per year, including technical skills, leadership training, mentoring, and specialised or bespoke courses.
We offer a competitive benefits package that includes sponsorship for further studies open to all staff in line with our commitment to develop our people. We also host regular social events and each year, host a Purcell day out where all studios come together.
