Tom adopts a methodical approach to help clients understand a site’s significance and its unique opportunities.

He enjoys working on a variety of projects, ranging from a new visitor and education centre for a Norman castle to the refurbishment and extension of a historic country house.

Commended for his PhD research at the RIBA President’s Awards 2014, his thesis focused on view protection in planning policy and how this affects the urban and architectural form of cities. Tom has also lectured at the Architectural Association in London, Cardiff & Newcastle Universities and the Washington Alexandria Architecture Centre.
