James Richardson
Architectural Assistant
An early interest in sustainable design led James to study Architecture and Environmental Design at Sheffield Hallam, where his studies focused on the re-use and refurb of civic buildings in practice.
Before joining Purcell as a Part II Architectural Assistant in 2024, James worked on a series of London-based projects which aimed to restore and breathe new life into historic buildings in the urban realm within a variety of sectors, notably the recent external restoration of Peckham Rye Station, Richmond Station, and restoration of ‘Finlaters Corner’.
James enjoyes discovering the narratives of the past and developing new ideas to unlock existing spaces, giving them a future for public benefit with an environmentally conscious approach.
