Ella joined Purcell in 2021 having studied her bachelor’s degree in architectural conservation at the University of Hong Kong, taking fine arts as her minor. During her studies she went on exchange to UC Berkeley where she majored in architecture and worked in local conservation consultancies on feasibility and historical studies.
Ella wrote her bachelor thesis on the design and management of heritage associated open spaces, demonstrating her passion for placemaking, conservation and the use of space within culturally significant architecture.
Outside of work, Ella enjoys drawing and making music. She has been a freelance artist and was awarded “Outstanding Hong Kong Young Artist” in 2017.
