Craig Woods

Associate, BSc(Hons) MCIAT

Craig joined our Colchester team after a work experience placement in 2007. He became a chartered member of the Institute of Architectural Technologists in 2019.

Craig works on interesting projects across a wide range of sectors from new-build schemes to existing buildings. He is particularly interested in the sympathetic extension, refurbishment, conversion, and adaption of existing buildings, making the most practical use of the space that they have to offer. At Saffron Walden Castle, he was involved with the conservation making this project the first in East Anglia to receive a soft wall capping.

Craig works with several schools throughout Essex. Ranging from a two classbase extension through to the infilling of an existing courtyard to provide a flexible use space, he obtains funding for these projects. Craig co-chairs Purcell Voice, the voice of employees as part of the practice becoming employee owned. The voice aims to listen to employee’s feedback, discuss this with the board and seek positive change.
