Charlotte Robinson

Charlotte is a conservation accredited architect in the Purcell Oxford studio. She is fascinated by traditional building techniques and how to sensitively integrate 21st Century design into historic settings. She works predominantly in the cultural, educational, and ecclesiastical sectors, and enjoys the challenges presented working on a range of large and small projects.

Charlotte was appointed as Winchester Cathedral Architect in 2021, a role in which she is responsible for the conservation and care of the historic fabric of the cathedral and buildings within its precincts, as well as advising on future development projects.

Alongside her work at Winchester Cathedral, Charlotte had led a number of high-profile projects for clients including the University of Oxford, Christ Church Oxford, and Historic Royal Palaces. Charlotte is a member of the Oxford Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches.

Charlotte fostered her interest in historic buildings during her post-graduate studies in Architectural History at the University of Oxford, achieving a distinction for her thesis which examined watching spaces in medieval pilgrimage churches.
