Charlotte joined the Purcell Oxford team in April 2019, having specialised in conservation architecture since 2015. She is fascinated by traditional building techniques and how to sensitively integrate 21st-century design into historic settings.
Charlotte has a diverse portfolio with experience on numerous prestigious projects for clients including the University of Oxford, Christ Church Oxford and Historic Royal Palaces. She has a particular interest in educational and cultural sectors and enjoys the challenges presented working on a range of large and small projects.
Charlotte completed her MPhil in Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Cambridge and spent a period working as a researcher at Delft University of Technology. Charlotte has recently gained a distinction for her post-graduate studies in Architectural History at the University of Oxford. Her thesis examined the significance of watching spaces in medieval pilgrimage churches.
Away from the studio, Charlotte is often found out on the river, as a keen and occasionally competitive rower.
