Alex Prior

Alex is passionate about the preservation and enhancement of the historic built environment through sensitive and imaginative design, adaptation and reuse.

He has extensive knowledge of public, private and specialist archives and collections and has carried out several thematic studies of specific building types including Essex and Suffolk Martello Towers, Edwardian steel-framed buildings, sporting and transport structures.

Alex has a wide range of experience including preparing listed building applications, THVIAs and tall buildings assessments, measured CAD and photographic surveys of historic fabric and impact assessments of development proposals affecting scheduled monuments, statutorily listed buildings, conservation areas and their settings.
