Purcell’s Head of Sustainability appointed to Architects Declare Steering Group
Laura Baron joins a cohort of 16 Steering Group members from over 1,300 Architects Declare signatory practices.
UK Architects Declare is a network of architectural practices committed to addressing climate and biodiversity emergency. In her new role as part of the Architects Declare Steering Group, Laura will be engaging with other signatory practices and the wider built environment sector to help address the climate crisis, as well as supporting on other Architects Declare initiatives and activity.

In addition to this new role within Architects Declare, Laura recently co-authored and launched the City of London Corporation’s Heritage Building Retrofit Toolkit, which provides a decarbonisation roadmap for the historic buildings in the capital’s Square Mile. She also sits on the NLA Conservation and Retrofit Expert Panel, was the sustainability expert on the RIBA South East Awards Jury this year and has contributed to multiple publications from the Low Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI).
