We are looking for an Architect at Associate level to join our existing team to work on the Palace of Westminster.

We are keen to talk to architects with excellent design and presentation skills as well as enthusiasm for high quality work, and with experience in working with historic and listed buildings.

You will prioritise project delivery and new business generation activities and support the delivery of a long-term strategy of working successfully with the Palace of  Westminster. This will include identifying opportunities for securing new architectural and conservation projects with the clients. The pursuing of these opportunities will include maintaining contacts with current and prospective clients.

We are a progressive practice, so you’ll need to understand our culture and strategy (our Collective Ambition), identify opportunities and support managing and developing our talented people to achieve goals as a collaborative team. As an excellent communicator, you will represent the organization in a leadership role to primary clients, key public officials, and sub consultants.

  We are looking for candidates who have the following skills: 

  • 10 years’ post qualification experience
  • Experience in project delivery and management 
  • Have excellent design, technical and conservation skills and experience 
  • Have a strong understanding of the UK Building and Planning regulations 
  • Proven experience working on all RIBA stages 
  • Demonstrate good client-facing communication skills 
  • AABC or RIBA SCA/ CA accreditation is essential 
  • Experience with NEC4 contracts.
  • Qualification or experience with NEC Supervisor role is desirable 
  • Proficiency in BIM/ Revit an advantage 
  • Be well organised, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and projects 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written 
  • Leadership experience managing a small to medium sized team 
  • Experience of taking responsibility for the financial success of projects, and strong commercial awareness 
  • Experience in business development and work winning, including bidding experience
