We are looking for an exceptional architect to join our existing team to work on a range of projects in our Canterbury Studio.

The successful candidate will evidence keen attention to detail and high-quality examples of work submitted with their application.  You will need to be able to display a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and understanding of Purcell’s projects and culture. We are keen to talk to architects with around 2 – 5 years post-part III qualification experience. Applicants should be skilled in the delivery of architectural projects through all workstages, with the ability to successfully lead a team. Excellent technical skills, strong design skills and an enthusiasm for the repair and conservation of historic buildings will be essential in this role.

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills:

  • Part 3 qualified and have 2-5 years experience working as a Project Architect for a UK based practice
  • Have excellent design and drawing skills
  • Have good experience and/or enthusiasm for working with historic buildings
  • Have a strong understanding of the UK Building, Planning and Listed Building regulations
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Proven experience working on all RIBA stages
  • Have ability to manage day-to-day project running independently
  • Have the ability to work successfully within a team, and to lead a team
  • Personable, confident and with a strong sense of team spirit
  • Competent in technical detailing
  • Proficient using AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Revit and NBS (Chorus) would be desirable
