A multi award-winning aviation museum located on the historically significant Filton Airfield. The conversion of a Grade II listed Hangar into a museum houses the Bristol Aero Collection of 8000 artefacts and Bristol-built aircraft including one of the remaining Concordes.
Purcell is responsible for the restoration and refurbishment of the iconic British palace including overseeing the ten-year rolling programme of repairs to all cast iron roofs at the palace, conserving and restoring the bronze windows and supporting the design team and contractors to ensure that upgrades are sensitive to the historic fabric.
Purcell were appointed and continue to conserve and refurbish the external fabric and internal spaces at the Elizabeth Tower. The iconic building is part of the wider Palace of Westminster sitting adjacent to the capital's River Thames.
Purcell’s refurbishment of the Hilda Besse Building – St Anthony’s College’s beloved social and community hub – is complete.
The repair and upgrade project will bring the 1860s building, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, up to ’modern access and safety standards’ and will include the restoration of the Great Hall and its Ford Madox Brown murals.
