Kate Sanders

Kate has over 25 years experience working with a variety of historic building types and in the historic environment. She has worked on many historic buildings with a range of clients on successful projects both large and small.

She is interested in design for flexibility in an ever-changing world and actively promotes thinking on sustainability and access as an inherent part of the design process. She enjoys adapting and upgrading existing buildings to meet modern standards using an informed understanding of the original fabric with an inventive approach to design. She believes that close collaboration with the design team, clients and contractors significantly improves the quality of the project.

Kate thinks the art of listening is essential to the flow of ideas and learning and she is an advocate of upskilling and encouraging growth and development in staff.
