Emma Bryant

Senior Heritage and Townscape Consultant, BA(Hons) MSc, IHBC

Emma is an experienced heritage consultant specialising in intervention into, and management of, urban historic environments.

She has specific experience of working on projects within Greater London, and more recently in the South-West, ranging from large-scale new development, conservation area management and complex alteration of listed buildings. Emma also provides specialist heritage advice to local authorities where there is a scarcity of conservation officer resource.

Emma draws on her architectural qualification and previous experience for a leading townscape consultancy. She works closely with architects, developers, planning consultancy and decision-makers to put the enhancement of the historic environment at the heart of development and change.

Since joining Purcell in 2016, Emma has become an integral part of the heritage consultancy team, first in London and now in Bristol. She is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and a panellist for the Design West Design Review Panel.
