Chris leads conservation and design work in the North East and Yorkshire regions. He is passionate about creative innovative design, traditional architecture and informed conservation.

Chris specialises in a number of our key sectors:

Places of Worship: Chris is the appointed architect for Durham Cathedral, leading the Open Treasure project as well as the programme of conservation repairs. He is the appointed architect for Hexham Abbey and many Grade I listed churches.

Residential: Chris's specialist skills in classical and traditional design support his work on listed country houses.

Cultural and Regeneration: Chris and his team have led a number of the regions’ most prestigious projects, many being supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
