Architectual Assistant - FTC 12 Months

Purcell are looking for an Architectural Assistant to join our Hong Kong Studio from late August, early September.

Due to increased project demand and to support project delivery across the region, Purcell are looking for an Architectural Assistant to join our Hong Kong Studio. This role will be to aid the Studio and established talented team that is currently working on a diverse and exciting range of architectural and heritage projects within hospitality, cultural and places of worship sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a World Architecture top 100 practice and employee-owned architectural practice renowned for our excellence in architecture and heritage consultancy.

We have staff of approximately 250 talented architects, designers, heritage consultants and surveyors across 14 offices in Hong Kong, Australia, and the UK. Together, we work on some of the finest buildings from meticulous heritage and conservation schemes to bold contemporary design. We create thoughtful architecture that enhances its context.

The successful candidates will display a keen attention to design and graphics. You will need to be able to display a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and understanding of Purcell’s projects and culture.

Candidate’s main duties will include:

  • Learn, apply, share the core expertise and specialisms of Purcell
  • Working closely with our existing core team for ongoing projects
  • Assist in the 2D and 3D drawing and modelling production
  • Contribute to concept design, schematic design, detail design, tender and construction documents
  • Preparation of presentation documents
  • Assist with contract administration during construction stage
  • Site survey and visits
  • Attend and minute client meetings

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Bachelor in architectural studies.
  • Proficiency in 2D drafting such as AutoCAD, 3D modelling in Sketchup and graphic production using Affinity/Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Good presentation skills (Visual, written & spoken) and contribution to high quality documentation.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese/Mandarin, both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of industry technical standards and statutory requirements.
  • Experience on A&A projects (desirable).
  • Knowledge of BIM and REVIT (desirable).
  • Professional at all times.

  • Personable, confident and with a keen sense of team spirit.
