As part of our Eastern UK region, Amelia is responsible for the area’s business development, marketing and bid coordination.
She has a degree in Environmental Design from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Before moving to England she coordinated conferences involving 200 – 600 delegates, researching funding opportunities, developing the layout and design of the conference materials and organising the conference speakers. She also worked on exhibition booths at the Interior Design Show West conference and taught secondary school students who were preparing their applications to post-secondary design programs.
Amelia’s skills in coordination and organisation, communication with a range of different professionals, and eye for detailed and quality design is a strong contribution to the Purcell team. Her foundation in Environmental Design supports her interest into placemaking and exploring effective schemes that understand the importance of the public realm, designing with context in mind. Working with both the Architecture and Heritage Consultancy teams has allowed her to explore her interests and develop her own knowledge in these fields.
