Durham Cathedral Open Treasure Wins Civic Trust AABC Conservation Award

Durham Cathedral Open Treasure was selected as one of only 9 National/International Winners from 42 applications and received a Civic Trust AABC Conservation Award at a ceremony on Friday. The world-class exhibition experience has transformed how visitors experience the monument’s rare collections and architectural highlights. In 2018, it won three RIBA North East awards; Conservation award, North East award and Building of the Year.

The 60 Anniversary Civic Trust Awards Ceremony, held at the iconic venue of the Imperial War Museum North in Trafford, Manchester on Friday 1 March. The ceremony was attended by Purcell Partner, Chris Cotton, who led the project. Congratulations to all involved!
