On a sunny Friday in July, two hundred Purcell employees gathered at Hampton Court Palace for a memorable practice day out.
Purcell’s day out at Hampton Court Palace was an opportunity for people to catch up with familiar colleagues from other studios, and meet the growing group of new faces at Purcell. We held our annual internal awards ceremony to recognise excellent projects and individual contributions. The day also included free time to explore the palace and gardens, for which we have worked on various conservation and design projects over thirty years.
“The Purcell day out was a great opportunity to celebrate everything Purcell. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones. It was extra special to receive the architecture award, knowing that my peers had judged it. It was a stunning day in many ways, one that you left smiling.” – Scott Lindsay, Senior architect in Edinburgh.
"It was great to finally meet colleagues face to face who I have only spoken to over the phone, the setting was beautiful and I enjoyed exploring Hampton Court. I love being part of a company that recognises contribution and passion so felt extremely proud during the award ceremony!" - Charlotte Nelmes, HR Manager
We always aim to improve our workforce wellbeing so this was a great chance to give our people a day to enjoy. Our talented employees make our work on incredible architectural projects happen. From heritage consultants, bid coordinators and administrative assistants, to technicians and architects, we work together to reach our goal to create better places for tomorrow.
