Purcell is pleased to be supporting World Heritage UK's Summer Workshop this August.

The event, which takes place 6-7th August, explores the social and economic opportunities and challenges of working with people in and around World Heritage Sites. The event will be taking place in the historic Priors Hall of Durham Cathedral, at the heart of the Durham Castle and Cathedral UNESCO World Heritage Site. Purcell has been delivering an extensive and award-winning programme of restoration at Durham Cathedral including work on the Central Tower and Open Treasure Exhibition hall.

The World Heritage Summer Workshop will cover topics including the socio-economic effects of World Heritage status, heritage tourism, community archaeology, and young people as heritage champions. Purcell Associate Tom Brigden will be on hand throughout the event to share his knowledge and experience working across heritage sites both in the UK and Internationally.

The conservation and sustainability of our World Heritage Sites have never been so important and Purcell is delighted to work with World Heritage UK to ensure the visibility of their work and teams on sites across the country continues.
