Purcell is delighted to be supporting the Built Environment Networking Mills Development Conference in Halifax, Yorkshire this January.

The event, taking place on the 14th of January will also feature a Purcell stand where a team of Purcell specialists will be in attendance. We’re thrilled to be sharing our best practice on past Purcell projects which have transformed derelict mills into thriving spaces once more.

The Mills Development Conference is supported by Historic England and Homes England and is a one-day event which explores the incredible opportunities derelict mills present; from economic growth to tackling the housing crisis.

On the 14th, mill owners, regional authorities, regeneration experts and major developers will unite to discuss ongoing and future projects and the newest development schemes which are yet to be announced.

The event includes a series of exceptional panel discussions and presentations from experts at the forefront of the discussions surrounding the redevelopment of historic mills.

Also at the event, attendees can meet and hear from:

  • The public sector on mill regeneration developments.
  • Investors and developers looking to transform mills via multi-million-pound projects.

Purcell recently contributed to the Built Environment’s online blog where North UK Associates Rebecca Burrows and Alex Holton spoke on the importance of Historic Mills. Click here to read the article.

Both Rebecca and Alex will be among Purcell consultants attending on the 14th of January.
