Celebrating 25 years of National Lottery Heritage Funding

6 November 2019

This month marks the 25th anniversary of the National Heritage Lottery Fund.

This November we celebrate some of our biggest projects across the UK that we have been privileged to work on.

Thanks to lottery players’ money, our team at Purcell are able to transform and preserve some of the country’s most treasured buildings and estates.

From castles to museums, our team of architects and heritage consultants combine their talents and experiences to conserve historic sites, transforming them into contemporary spaces that fit the needs of people today.

“Purcell have supported funding initiatives including from Heritage Lottery Funding sources for many years. We’re proud to be celebrating the 25th year of the scheme.” - Mark Goldspink, CEO, Purcell Architecture.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK. The fund uses players’ money to resource the UK’s rich heritage in the creation of positive change for the communities local to the area, and across the world. The grants distributed are from £3,000 to £5 million and over and are vital for transforming the UK’s heritage for a sustainable future.
