Cardigan Castle received a high commendation for building conservation at the RICS Awards Grand Final 2016.

Cardigan Castle’s repair and conversion represents the very essence of the RICS Awards, restoring an important part of our built heritage, supporting the local economy, and gaining significant community support.

Ben Collins, Director of RICS Northern Ireland and Wales

Out of 12 shortlisted projects, Purcell project Cardigan Castle, was the only one to receive the acclaimed highly commended accolade. Having won in the Building Conservation, Tourism and Leisure and Project of the Year categories at the regional level in May, the project has proven to be an exemplar conservation and regeneration scheme nationally.
