We have an exciting opportunity for a talented designer to join our Colchester Studio. The role will involve joining a team working across a number of interesting residential, mixed use and conversion projects in Colchester and across Essex.

Purcell is an award-winning architectural and heritage consultancy practice with a strong commitment to design excellence. We have staff of approximately 250 talented architects, designers, heritage consultants and surveyors across 14 offices in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. Together, we work on some of the finest buildings from meticulous heritage and conservation schemes to bold contemporary design.

The successful candidate should evidence keen attention to detail and high-quality examples of their work submitted with applications. You will need to be able to display a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and understanding of Purcell’s projects and culture. We will be looking for the below experience in all applications submitted:

Qualifications, Accreditations, Memberships

• Essential: ARB, RIBA / RICS

Skills, Knowledge, Experience (Expectations)

• Minimum one plus years’ post part III experience within an architectural practice

• Exceptional design talent
• A passion for the historic built environment
• Excellent drawing and visual presentation skills
• Clear and precise written and verbal communication

• Well organised and proactive approach to managing work and projects
• A strong eye for detail
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of every RIBA work stage

Revit-capable with two plus years’ experience of BIM-delivered projects
