Since joining the practice in 2005, Penny has continued to develop her expertise in school design, while pursuing an abiding interest in ecclesiastical architecture, acquiring specialist knowledge of quinquennial inspections and refurbishment schemes. Whether she is conserving them for future generations or incorporating modern facilities into their historic fabric, she finds working on ecclesiastical buildings particularly inspiring.

Though she has a thorough and strategic approach to her work, Penny is very much a design architect, and her greatest strength is her ability to think creatively within the constraints of each project. She is adept at balancing statutory requirements, architectural possibilities and the aspirations of her clients.
