Alain Torri
Senior Architect, RIBA Dr. Arch

Born in Merano in Italy, Alain studied Architecture at the University of Milan. Between 1995 and 2003, he worked in several Milanese architectural studios, becoming involved in building design, urban planning, image and communication, industrial design and the visual arts.

During his time in Milan, Alain developed a cross-disciplinary approach to architecture, accumulating experience in space management and communication. He worked on a number of commissions for fashion brands and service companies, creating retail outlets, office spaces and related ancillary areas.

Alain’s interest in conservation grew while designing flagship stores in refurbished listed buildings and sensitive historic urban settings. After moving to the UK, he was able to apply this personal interest to the local context, expanding his knowledge. His pragmatic attitude has helped him to deliver many projects successfully and he is a passionate advocate for sustainable architecture.
