Andrew Clark
Partner, Architect, BA DipArch RIBA
Andrew studied architecture in London and Cambridge, where he gained a first class degree and distinction in his diploma. He has over 20 years of experience working on sensitive and often complex historic buildings and sites and currently heads up both the practice’s Public Buildings Sector and Masterplanning service.
Conserving antiquity whilst thinking creatively about new uses for historic buildings has been at the forefront of Andrew’s work. He has become particularly interested in contemporary architectural design in relation to the historic fabric of listed buildings. He relishes working on complicated buildings and their settings, preparing plans to demonstrate how development can be achieved sensitively and sustainably.
'We believe strongly that every project has a context. Every site has a history and evolution, a physical infrastructure and aesthetic character. Understanding the process of change for complex buildings and sites, and working creatively within it, is where my principal interest lies.'
