Kiln 4 will be accessible to the general public, who will be able to access the ground and first floor areas. The glass wall added to the Kiln allows interpretation of the kiln from the outside while protecting it from the elements.

We will recover and insulate the pitched roof over the main body of the building. The main flat roof will be stripped with insulation and weatherproofing applied to provide a level platform for the installation of Photovoltaics and other green technologies.

New buildings will connect to the main Enson Works Building at the first floor level with a glazed pedestrian bridge. The bridge is an un-heated transition space, to minimise heat loss through the glazing.
